一個完整的周期，不同行業(yè)不一樣，有的長，有的短。像是房地產(chǎn)周期，時間很長，做出預測時，時間越長，預測就越不準，所以不是必需要完整周期。
在預測公司盈利時，有個概念是Normalized earnings，這是指在沒有任何影響盈利能力的異?；蚺R時因素存在的情況下，在mid-cycle下的預期收益水平。所以預測必須包含midpoint of a business cycle。
原版書原文：Normalized earnings are the expected level of mid-cycle earnings for a company in the absence of any unusual or temporary factors that affect profitability (either positively or negatively).
