distinct business entity是GIPS中的概念。
The firm must be defined as an investment firm, subsidiary, or division held out to the public as a distinct business entity. 公司是以獨立商業(yè)實體（distinct business entity）的形式來面向公眾的投資公司、子公司或部門。而獨立商業(yè)實體在組織（organizationally）和功能上（functionally）與其他單元、部門相獨立，對所管理的資產(chǎn)有自主權（discretion），而且能自行決定投資決策流程
而business-continuity plan是AMC中的概念。
建立業(yè)務連續(xù)性計劃（災備機制），解決金融市場的災難恢復或周期性中斷（Establish a business-continuity plan to address disaster recovery or periodic disruptions of the financial markets）
關于business-continuity plan的最低要求
所有的賬戶信息，要有備份且最好是異地備份（adequate backup, preferably off-site, for all account information）
當主要系統(tǒng)不能工作時，要有其它的預案（alternative plans）解決監(jiān)控（monitoring），分析（analyzing）和投資交易（trading investments）★
要有和重要的生產(chǎn)商和供應商（及時）溝通的計劃（critical vendors and suppliers）
要有和雇員進行（及時）溝通的計劃（employee communication）以及要求覆蓋關鍵業(yè)務職能（coverage of critical business functions）
要有當業(yè)務持續(xù)中斷時（during a period of extended disruption）與客戶聯(lián)系和溝通的計劃 ★
