代表short seller代付的股利和利息費用。
比如說short seller問security lender借入一只股票賣出做空。
因為股票已經(jīng)賣出給市場上其他的投資者C，所以如果在做空期間，該股票發(fā)股利是發(fā)給另外的投資者C的，不會發(fā)給short seller或者security lender了。
但是security lender其實是借出股票，也就是說理論上security lender還是擁有了股票的所有權(quán)，應(yīng)該獲得這部分股利。所以short seller會自掏腰包把屬于security lender的這部分股利還給他，這部分股利就是payment-in-lieu

好的，那做空者借入股票所要支付的利息也包含在payment-in-lieu中嗎？

一般不包括，借入支付的利息，屬于付給security lender的收益，不算“代繳”所以不屬于payment-in-lieu
上面回復(fù)中指的利息，是做空債券的時候，債券支付的coupon；類似于做空股票的股利。 -
