Insurable interest prevents individuals from gambling on the lives of strangers and removes any incentive to hasten the insured person’s demise. An insurable interest means that the policy owner must derive some type of benefit from the continued survival of the individual that would be negatively affected should that individual pass away. For example, a spouse has an insurable interest because he or she relies on the income or household services of the other spouse. A business has an insurable interest in key executives who are essential to the ongoing operations of the business.
可保利益防止個(gè)人對(duì)陌生人的生命進(jìn)行賭博，并消除加速投保人死亡的任何動(dòng)機(jī)（比如，張三和李四只是一般朋友，如果允許張三給李四投保，張三就特別有動(dòng)機(jī)希望李四趕快死掉，這會(huì)引發(fā)不道德事件的發(fā)生）。可保利益意味著保單持有人（投保人）必須從個(gè)人（被保險(xiǎn)人）的繼續(xù)生存中獲得某種利益，而如果被保險(xiǎn)人去世，這種利益將受到負(fù)面影響。例如，配偶有可保利益，因?yàn)樗蛩蕾嚵硪环降氖杖牖蚣彝シ?wù)。對(duì)企業(yè)的持續(xù)運(yùn)營(yíng)至關(guān)重要的關(guān)鍵高管具有可保利益。
