公司可以有多個DB plan，不同的DB plan之間不可以軋差，這時可能在B/S上既有plan asset也有plan liability（不同的DB plan）。另外，如果資產(chǎn)>負債時，在B/S中體現(xiàn)的Plan asset（凈資產(chǎn)）是有上限的（Ceiling），其上限為未來基金產(chǎn)生的economic benefit的PV，其值為從養(yǎng)老金計劃中的退款或減少今后的供款（refunds from the plan or reductions of future contributions），企業(yè)應當以養(yǎng)老金資產(chǎn)盈余和資產(chǎn)上限中孰低者來計量凈養(yǎng)老金資產(chǎn)。目的是為了讓公司保持每年向基金投錢的習慣。
