同學(xué)你好，原版書原文如下：Life insurance provides a hedge against the risk of the premature death of an earner.
A family’s need for life insurance is related to the risk of the loss of the future earning power of an individual less the expected future spending of that individual.
Life insurance的目的是為了能對human capital的損失進(jìn)行保護(hù)，也就是說當(dāng)一個能賺錢的人早亡了，他的死亡對整個家庭的損失越大，那么這個人越需要life insurance。所以大原則是誰能為家庭賺的越多、誰承擔(dān)的家庭支付責(zé)任越大，那么這個人就越需要life insurance。George的收入比Galen要高，而且George需要承擔(dān)家庭很多的開支，承擔(dān)女兒學(xué)費(fèi)，還要留遺產(chǎn)給孩子；Galen已經(jīng)獨(dú)立了，也就是他不承擔(dān)家庭開支了。那么George現(xiàn)在死亡對家庭所造成的損失會大于Galen，于是對家庭而言，George更需要life insurance
