如果資產(chǎn)>負債時，在B/S中體現(xiàn)的Plan asset（凈資產(chǎn)）是有上限的（Ceiling），其上限為未來基金產(chǎn)生的economic benefit的PV，其值為從養(yǎng)老金計劃中的退款或減少今后的供款（refunds from the plan or reductions of future contributions），企業(yè)應當以養(yǎng)老金資產(chǎn)盈余和資產(chǎn)上限中孰低者來計量凈養(yǎng)老金資產(chǎn)。
