文中兩個表述并沒有說特征選擇是在預(yù)處理步驟。

同學(xué)你好。是這個意思，特征選擇是一種方法，特征選擇一種直觀的理解就是特征的選擇。這一方法主要在數(shù)據(jù)探索階段進(jìn)行不同特征的選擇。但是在預(yù)處理階段也可以使用，只不過就是對特征的一種解釋、澄清。這兩個地方使用程度/意思不同，就像大米可以做飯吃（這是主要的吧），其次它還能不能用于釀酒等用途，都是用但是用途不一樣而已。這里也一樣，都是使用特征選擇，但是意思不一樣。
