Stock Dividends不是通過降低價格來增發(fā)股票，只是因為增發(fā)的股票，導(dǎo)致了股價下降。Stock Dividends在balance sheet里面改變是會轉(zhuǎn)移部分retained earnings到contributed capital里面，因為retained earnings和contributed capital都是equity的科目，所以總的equity是不變的，但是股數(shù)增加了，所以股價下降了。
Repurchase中P/E = Stock price/EPS。 這個要分別判斷Stock price 和 EPS的變化。如果不考慮市場反應(yīng)的影響，股價是不變的，但是如果市場認為回購是積極的信號，那么股價就會上漲。然后EPS的變化就是要比較Earnings yield 和 after-tax cost of financing。 如果 Earnings yield>after-tax cost of financing ， 導(dǎo)致EPS increases。
這時候股價和EPS 同時都上漲的話，分子分母都變大，那么就要看哪個變化幅度大了。

老師好，假設(shè)發(fā)放股利10送5，發(fā)放股利前總共100萬股，每股30元，發(fā)放股利后總共150萬股，每股價格下降變?yōu)?0元，那由R/E轉(zhuǎn)為contributed capital的金額是50萬×20元=1000萬元這部分嗎？

原版書解釋： Although retained earnings are reduced by the value of the stock dividends paid
(i.e., by the number of shares issued × price per share), contributed capital increases by
the same amount (i.e., the value of the shares issued). As a result, total shareholders’
equity does not change.
