Three Tips for the CFA Level 1 Exam – Straight from the Creator

What is “CFA”?“CFA”是什么?

The CFA certification recognizes that a candidate is well-versed in a broad range of financial concepts. To obtain the certification, the candidate must pass three exams, each of which tests more advanced material than the last, and register with the CFA Institute.

美國特許金融分析師(“CFA”)證書代表持有人熟悉理解廣泛金融概念。證書考試有三級，每一級測試的內(nèi)容比上一門更深，候選人必須通過三級考試后并在CFA協(xié)會注冊才能獲得證書。

The Level 1 exam is a two-session, 6 hour, 240 multiple-choice questions test that assesses the candidate’s basic understanding of ten investment-related topics. The exam contains no trick questions, exam questions are straight forward from the material, but it is by no means easy. The curriculum consists of 549 key concepts, officially known as “Learning Outcome Statements”, and is 61 readings in length, which translates to 3311 pages of material. The pass rate is around 42%.

CFA一級考試有240道選擇題，測試考生對十個投資相關(guān)主題的基本概念?？忌偣灿辛r答題，分成上下午兩個時段?？碱}均為教材上的內(nèi)容，相當直接，少有陷阱。然而這個考試并不是非常簡單，因為整個課程總共有3311頁的內(nèi)容，包含了549個“學習重點”，分布在61份閱讀材料里，且考試合格率僅為約42%。

The Tips 技巧

Noting that questions are carefully formulated over a roughly ten-month period, head exam writer Peter Mackey offers the following tips to CFA Level 1 test takers:

Focus on learning to respond directly to the command words in each curriculum “Learning Outcome Statements”, such as describe, calculate, and interpret; exam questions are designed to test those command words.

由于CFA考試題目針對教材考試大綱LOS中所要求考生需要掌握的技能，所以在備考過程中需要特別注重LOS中出現(xiàn)的諸如描述、計算、解釋等詞語。

Read the entire question, along with all of the answer options, before deciding on the best answer choice.

Focus on understanding the concepts instead of just rote memorization of formulas.

重點去理解公式背后的概念，不要純粹死記硬背公式。
